| What are your thoughts on prong collars? Are they ok to use?

Absolutely. They distribute the pressure much better than a regular collar and are effective at reducing pulling immediately. Using them typically means the dog gets more walks and the owner enjoys the walk more.
Plus, let the dogs vote for themselves. Most dogs become excited when they see the prong collar since they know it means they're going for a walk. If that wasn't the case, they'd cower.

yes - I call it "power steering". If used (and fitted) correctly, it can work wonders. The trick is to not let the dog keep pulling or dragging you. Instead, when the dog starts to pull, pop the leash/collar quickly and then let it go loose again. You'll find you only need a few good pops and your dog will learn right away what's expected. And as previously mentioned, the easier the walk, the more often the dog gets walked...........
You should have someone with experience demonstrate and help with the fit before using one for the first time.

| Absolutely - makes it so so much easier to walk my dog. Wouldn't dream of telling someone not to use one.
